Since giving my life to Jesus in 1996, I have committed my talents as a singer, guitarist and songwriter to serving the Lord, and along the way God has been moulding me into a worship songwriter and worship leader, with a particular focus on spirit-filled, prophetic worship.
Worship music has become the only focus of what I do musically, and I aim to write songs that are inspired by the Lord. Just think - Worship is one of the only things that pre-dates God's creation - before God's spirit hovered over the waters, before Jesus created the world, there were angels around God's throne worshipping Him.
I believe that worship comes from worship - when we direct our hearts and minds towards Heaven and worship God, the worship in the heavenlies is reflected in what we produce here on earth. After all, in Psalms 22:3 the Word of God says "But You are holy, Enthroned in the praises of Israel".
My most recent CD is Open Heaven, a CD of worship songs I have written over the last four years. As I set out to select songs for the CD, my only criterion for a song's inclusion was whether I really felt that in some way God had given inspiration by His Holy Spirit for the music and lyrics.
