God’s response to worship directed to Him in Spirit and in Truth is to release His presence among us.
That sweet presence of the Holy Spirit manifested among us is what inspires true worship – worship that expresses a love and longing for God that touches the heavens. “Oh that You would rend the Heavens and come down!” Isaiah 64:1
Anointed worship music comes from worship – when we direct our hearts and minds towards Heaven and worship God, the worship in the heavenlies is reflected in what we produce here on earth. In Psalm 22:3 the Word of God says “But You are holy, Enthroned in the praises of Israel”.
As a worship songwriter, I desire fresh anointing – in the lyrics of our worship songs, in the arrangements, in the melodies, in the instrumental accompaniment.
As a worship musician, I desire for my instrument to become an extension of my heart, as it is filled with worship to God, and I seek to use my instrument to glorify God and enhance the worship experience of those around me.
As a worship leader, my desire is to glorify God and draw attention to Him. As I do, I draw down from heaven that anointing to worship, and have it flow out to those around me. As God begins to respond with His presence, the miraculous is released.
